Orleans

Located between Beauce and Gâtinais, near Chambord and the Sologne forests, Orleans, Loiret (45), is one of the most ancient cities of France.
The city has a rich and tempestuous history, marked by the passage of Joan of Arc which freed it in 1429.

Orleans is also famous for the beauty of the Loire river which has been classified as « World Patrimony of UNESCO « .

The cathedral of Orleans, named « Sainte Croix » (Holy Cross) is as beautiful as « Notre Dame of Paris  » it is located in the center of the city, at one hundred meters of the restaurant.

In front of the cathedral is also located the meeting place of the Orleans roller skating tour which takes place on every Friday and gathers hundreds of roller-skates riders.

The city has a conservatoire national de musique (national conservatoire of music), a museum of the fine-arts, an art house cinema where you can watch films with the original soundtrack, a big media library, theater, ice rink/room of concert (Astrolabe), an exhibition centre , streetcars, a magnificent law court, ancient half-timberings houses, famous chocolate factories and more…
